- Christina Lucia Tanciu, yours truly: (born in 1955) – an only child, typical of many Romanian families at the time. Married into the Soochan family, now retired from minding computer stuff in the local bureaucracy, watching the career grass grow much greener elsewhere … But that’s fodder for another story ..

We were all born in Romania (of course) and left it in the summer of 1971, ending up in Italy for a few months’ stay en route to our new home, Canada. More on that exodus later.
So as of this writing, spring of 2018, we’ve all been in Canada, in Montreal, for 46 years.
